EXPERIENCE

Vidmob

PRODUCER

2020 - Present

VidMob, an ad-tech industry leader, focuses on driving creative effectiveness through a cycle of data analytics and scalable production. My role as a Producer at VidMob centers on spearheading post-production for ad campaigns aimed at our premier clients. Informed by data-driven insights, I play a pivotal role in translating these metrics into actionable insights. My responsibilities encompass assembling and guiding a global team of freelance creators, steering the creative direction, coordinating post-production, and upholding seamless communication with clients throughout the process.

My role also involves collaboration with our product and engineering teams. By contributing to the evolution of the VidMob platform, I participate in the development and deployment of new features while ensuring client feedback shapes our progress. My journey at VidMob has provided me with the unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a company. Notably, I've cultivated strategic partnerships and streamlined workflows with key clients including Meta, Bloomberg, Amazon, Microsoft, Nespresso, L’Oréal, Ulta Beauty, and Marriott.

Furthermore, my role extends to people management. I oversee daily task delegation, conduct performance evaluations, and devise career growth strategies for Project Managers within my purview.

Being a Producer at VidMob has not only required me to wear multiple hats simultaneously but has also afforded me invaluable experience in just three years that would have taken much longer to amass at any other company.

New York Magazine, Vox Media

PRODUCER, VULTURE

2017 - 2020

During my three years at New York Magazine, I led video production for Vulture, the brand’s dynamic culture and entertainment vertical. My love of pop culture not only ignited captivating and distinctive stories but also blended seamlessly with my background in independent filmmaking and writing, enabling me to execute projects efficiently and with a high degree of autonomy.

Serving as the primary producer for Vulture, I was instrumental in defining the visual essence and narrative architecture of our video content. My original series, "Mad About It," which I both hosted and produced, achieved prominent status as a featured Snapchat original series for eight consecutive weeks. My scope of involvement extended beyond Vulture as I contributed as a supplementary producer for other verticals including The Cut, Grub Street, and Influencer. My original sponsored series, "Love Map," for The Cut garnered considerable acclaim internally, resonated deeply with viewers, and proved immensely successful with our sponsor partner Bumble.

End-to-end story management was my forte, encompassing research, ideation, interviewee sourcing, shoot production, and final editing. Some of my favorite project involved celebrity interviews, which I always tried to approach with a fresh and unexpected perspective. My interview with Tom Kenny about the influence of Spongebob on internet humor is still a personal favorite.

Embedded within the newsroom of a major publication for the second time in my career, I learned countless lessons about working quickly, efficiently and accurately. I have aimed to bring that sense of curiosity and journalistic integrity to all the projects I’ve worked on since.

Newsweek

Associate Producer

2016 - 2017

At Newsweek, I worked alongside a team of award-winning journalists to bring breaking news stories and in-depth profiles to life with video. My videos acted both as supplemental materials for written work living on Newsweek’s website, and self-contained stories that ran on the magazine’s digital channels.

As an associate producer, my role included advising writers on the best visual approach for their stories, planning out and executing video shoots, and editing the final products. The work was fast-paced, especially as this role coincided with the turbulent news cycle of the 2016 election. The experience of working late nights in a newsroom covering such monumental global events will always remain a highlight in my professional life.

In addition to the fast-paced news cycle, I also had the opportunity to work on several awards-nominated short documentaries. My personal favorite is a profile of Henry Orenstein, the holocaust survivor who would go on to invent the Transformers toy line. I also had the unique opportunity to document a hidden mural by renowned New York artist Keith Haring, in a piece that helped prevent the demolition of the building where it was housed.

In the year that I worked with Newsweek, I learned how to adapt and nurture others’ creative visions, while still bringing my own unique perspective as a creator and artist.

Lucky8 TV

Production Coordinator / Associate Producer

2015 - 2016

Lucky8 TV is a production company with a focus on unscripted documentary and natural history television. I was lucky enough to work as a production coordinator on some of the company’s foundational projects, including the first season of 60 Days In - a show which is now on its 8th season on A&E.

My responsibilities as a production coordinator included location management, gear acquisition and upkeep, budget tracking, and research. On certain projects, I was also given the opportunity to act as an associate producer, a role which saw me sourcing interviewees, writing pitch decks for networks, and producing spec pilots for The Weather Channel and The History Channel.

The company offered me a strong understanding of the full production cycle of a television show, and taught me significant lessons about the power of creative thinking within the confines of a budget and timeline.

Freelance Work

While I was studying at New York Univeristy’s Tisch School of the Arts, I also focused on gathering valuable production experience. I worked on a number of projects for clients including the NFL, ESPN, Rolling Stone, National Geographic and others.

My freelance work was balanced with a full curriculum at school, along with independent film projects on the side. My various roles as PA, Location PA, Post Production Assistant, Assistant Line Producer, Research Assistant gave me a clear view into the various roles and departments involved in a production.
